An appeal to the participants of the armed conflicts

11 November 2014

The tense situation in different regions of the world is forcing organizations of 27 countries belonging to the International Advisory Committee of the Organizations of reserve officers (IAC), to express concern about and fears of the possibility of its further escalation. At the same time, the IAC strictly respects the principle of non-interference in the affairs of any organizations and countries, as well as the parties to the conflicts.

Military people and politicians know that all wars and armed conflicts, ultimately, ending peace, and their tightening leads to additional, in no way justified death and destruction.

Cause particular concern the armed clashes in the Middle East, particularly in Syria, Iraq, Libya, as well as in Afghanistan and in the Ukraine, which pose threats to international peace and security.

We appeal to all participating to armed conflict to immediately stop armed clashes, which have already resulted to numerous human casualties, including women, children and old people, widespread destruction of social, cultural and life-supporting infrastructure to a humanitarian catastrophe.

Exit from a situation is to be found only by diplomatic means, through negotiations and compromise between the parties to a conflict and to ensure the fundamental human rights, in accordance with the principles of the UN Charter.

We appeal to Heads of State and Government, international, public, youth and veterans' organizations to take all measures to prevent the further spreading of conflicts achievement to resolve them.
