On October 14, 2012, an event was carried out, dedicated to the installation of a memorial at the grave of a participant of the Great Patriotic War, Hero of the Soviet Union Lieutenant General Ulyanov v. A.
The commemorative and solemn ceremony, which took place at Troekurovskoye graveyard, was attended by numerous comrades-in-arms of Ulyanov, graduates of Ordzhonikidze military school, which was headed by him during quite a long period of time, as well as representatives of the ministry of defense and other authorities, relatives and friends. The originator of eternizing Ulyanov’s memory and the memorial customer is the Directorate and the Board of Directors of «Megapir» Association, in whose work Ulyanov made a significant contribution, being its member during the last 15 years. Graduates of the military school also largely participated in the fabrication of the memorial.
People’s artist of the Soviet Union, prize winner of the USSR State award v. S. Lanovoy unveiled the memorial. In their speeches colleagues, friends and relatives reminded about the heroic deed of Ulyanov as a soldier, who was bestowed with the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for forcing the Dnieper when he was 18, his contribution to the education and preparation of officers, his care about the growing generation, his kindness and high humanity.
