Fruitful talks

On 22–24 April 2012 at the headquarters of the IAC there were held talks between the Chairman of the International Advisory Council of organizations of reserve officers Alexander Kanshin and the delegation of the Finnish Federation of reserve officers composed of the President Mika Hannula and the General Secretary Janne Kosonen, which were in Moscow on the invitation of the IAC Secretariat and the National Association of Unions of the Armed Forces Reserve Officers (MEGAPIR). At the meeting there were discussed possible areas of cooperation of the Association «MEGAPIR» and the Finnish Federation and the Finnish participation in the organization of the second meeting of the IAC, which will take place on 23–25 May 2012 in Vienna and Bratislava.

During the talks, the Finnish side confirmed its desire to attend the second meeting of the IAC. There were outlined specific areas of cooperation between the Association «MEGAPIR» and the Finnish Federation of reserve officers.

Members of the delegation visited the Central Museum of Armed Forces and toured through Moscow.

There was reached an agreement to continue bilateral contacts, including the issues of the regional border area.
