Delegation of the Generals’ society of the Slovak Republic leaded by its Chairman major general Frantisek Blanarik on the Association «Megapir» invitation was received in the business-centre on the 18th of November 2010.

Guests from Bratislava supported the initiative of «Megapir» to establish the International advisory council of reserve officers organizations, which will become the mechanism for international cooperation of various countries reserve officers, and expressed their readiness to joint work.

F. Blanarik expressed assurance: «Friendship and cooperation of Russian and Slovakian reserve officers will be growing stronger henceforth, we have solid historic and cultural basis for this».

The documentary shot by the creative team of the First channel basing on the delegation of «Megapir» visits to Austria, Hungary and Slovakia was presented to Slovakian generals. Guests from Bratislava were awarded with the medals «of Officer’s valour» on the decision of the Board of directors.

Chairman of the Officers’ Assembly Council, marshal of the Soviet Union Dmitry Yazov, President of the Fund «Brotherhood of officers», marshal of artillery Vladimir Mihalkin, Chairman of the Coordination Council of the International union «Commonwealth of public veterans (pensioners) organizations of independent states», fleet admiral Aleksey Sorokin, Chairman of the board of the Association, general-colonel Yuri Bukreev, President of the Fund «Megapir», hero of the Soviet Union, lieutenant general Vitaly Ulyanov, Chairman of the Military and Philosophic society Council, major general Stepan Tyushkevich, people’s artist of the USSR Vasily Lanovoy, Chief of staff of the Association — First deputy of chairman of the board, major general Vladimir Bogatyrev, Deputy chief of staff, Coordinator of international programs Anatoly Kumakhov, Chairman of the All-Russia public organization of the Armed Forces veterans, general of the army Michael Moiseev, Assistant Minister of Defence on veterans issues, general of the army Yuri Yakubov also took part in the meeting from the National Association of the AF Reserve Officers Organizations.

Delegation of General’s society of the Slovak Republic was received by Member of the Board of directors of the Association, Chairman of the Control and Accounting Chamber of Moscow, reserve colonel Viktor Dvurechenskih on the 19th of November 2010.

Chairman of the Society, major general Frantisek Blanarik, major general Marian Horsky, general Tibor Gaplowsky informed about activities of veterans and reserve officers of Slovakia. T. Gaplowsky told: «We had an opportunity to see ourselves that Russian counterparts put into life projects of social importance».

Member of the Board of directors of the Association «Megapir», First deputy of Saint Petersburg governor, general colonel Vitaly Azarov received guests from Bratislava at the Mission of Saint Petersburg Government in Moscow the same day. He told Slovakian counterparts about reserve officers participation in activities of Saint Petersburg public organizations. Both sides expressed their interest in establishing cooperation between veterans organizations of Slovakia and those in Saint Petersburg, exchange of experience in the sphere of construction and tourism.
