Chairman of the Association Board of directors Alexander Kanshin met diplomats from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the Russian Federation on the 7th of October 2009.
Analyst of the Eastern research group of the Political planning department of the For-eign Office of Great Britain Christopher Joyce and representative of the Ministry of Defence of Great Britain Tony Brumvel visited «Megapir». Member of Board of directors of the Association, President of the fund «Army and Culture», people’s artist Vasily Lanovoy and the Head of Group of companies «Megapir» A. A. Kanshin took part in the discussion with British diplomats.
During the meeting following issues were discussed: cooperation between civil society, executive and legislative authorities in Russia, Ministry of Defence and other se-curity agencies in the interest of strengthening national security, development of force and other military formations, strengthening the social status of veterans, servicemen and their families. Necessity for closer cooperation between Russia and Great Britain in international terrorism protection sphere was marked, and understanding that main trends in development Russia-NATO relations are equal cooperation with other states, community, armies of Western countries.
