In Search for Common Grounds

On November 24, 2011 Chairman of the International Advisory Council of Organizations of Reserve Officers (IAC) A. Kanshin along with Executive Secretary of IAC A. Kumakhov held working meetings with a number of heads of IAC member — organization which arrived to participate in the 5th convention of the «Commonwealth of Public Organizations of Veterans (Pensioners) of Independent States» International Union.

In particular, they met with Chairman of the Presidium of the Union of Veteran Organizations of Estoina G. Dzevulskiy, President of the Reserve Military Union Public Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Isengulov, Chairman of the Council of the Public Association of Veterans of Belarus A. Novikov, Chairman of the Association of World War II Antihitlerite Coalition Veterans Living in Lithuania U. Deksnis, Chairman of the Coordination Council of the Latvian Association of Antihitlerite Coalition Fighters A. Piyatnitskiy, Chairman of the Commonwealth of Veterans and Pensioners of Kohtla — Jarve non — profit organization A. Mirnik and her deputy E. Donos.

The leaders of the organizations were briefed on the current work of IAC Secretariat, the process of preparation to the second meeting which is to take place in Slovakia, Bratislava on May 22 — 24. The colleagues were handed over the first issue of IAC Officer’s Fraternity Journal published according to the first meeting decision as well a video film and other materials.

The guests from the CIS and Baltic states told about their work and plans. «Materials on the most significant events being held by IAC members will be placed on the web — site and spoken of in the journal of IAC,« — A. Kumakhov said.
