February 11, 2012 in Brussels at the initiative of the Executive Secretariat of the International Advisory Council of the Organizations of the Reserve Officers its Eexecutive Secretary Anatoly Kumakhov met with Mr. Jon Erling Tenvik, President of the Interallied Confederation of reserve Officers CIOR and Mr. Knut Jahr, Secretary General of CIOR. Discussed the possibility of establishing contacts between the CIOR and the International Advisory Council of the Organizations of the Reserve Officers.

During the meeting, the Executive Secretary of the IAC Anatoly Kumakhov informed the President and the Secretary General of CIOR, about the structure and operation of the National Association «MEGAPIR», and the creation and conception of the IAC. They were given extensive information, print and video — materials on these organizations.

A.Kumakhov on behalf of the Secretariat of the IAC passed J. E. Tenvik and K. Jahr invitations to attend the second meeting of the International Advisory Council of the Organizations of the Reserve Officers, which will be held in Bratislava and Vienna on 23–25 May 2012, as well as an invitations to visit Moscow to familiarize with the activities of the IAC and the Association «MEGAPIR." The invitations were accepted with gratitude. On his decision to inform the Secretariat of IAC of the leaders of CIOR after the study referred to them materials and advice.

Mr. J. E. Tenvik during the meeting noted the importance of maintaining contacts between the organizations of reserve officers in strengthening the friendly ties between the peoples of neighboring countries. He also pointed to Russia’s important role in ensuring international security in the modern world.

President of CIOR J. E. Tenvik gave A. Kumakhov memorial «The Norwegian Presidency of CIOR, 2010–2012» for the Secretariat of the International Advisory Council of the Organizations of the Reserve Officers.
