MEETING OF REPRESENTATIVES OF TWO INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS IN THE IAC HEADQUARTERS

On December 20, 2012, President of the International Advisory Committee of organizations of reserve officers Alexander Kanshin and Secretary General Anatoly Kumakhov received in the IAC headquarters Vice-President of the World Veteran Federation (WVF) Dan Viggo Bergtun. They informed him about the goals of creating the IAC and main directions of its activities. The possible spheres of cooperation between two international organizations were also touched upon.

A film about the second meeting of the IAC and other events, conducted during the International humanitarian action «Mission of peace and friendship» in Austria and Slovakia in May 2012, was shown to the guest. In his turn, the Vice-President described the structure and activities of the World Veteran Federation, as well as the European department, headed by him. This department accounts for about 80 per cent of the amount of work, performed by the Federation.

The Vice-President highly appreciated the work of the IAC and noticed that the activities our organizations have much in common, first of all in the issues of assistance and support of veterans and reserve officers.

The participants came to an agreement that delegations of the two organizations will participate in the biggest events of each other.

D.v. Bergtun was grateful to receive an invitation to participate in the third meeting of the International Advisory Committee of organizations of reserve officers, which will take place in the Republic of Kazakhstan in June 2013.

He invited A. Kanshin and A. Kumakhov to the congress of the World Veteran Federation European department, which will take place in Stockholm in May 2013 under the auspices of the UN and UNESCO.

An exchange of printed materials and souvenirs also took place.

We would like to mention that relations with the leadership of the World Veteran Federation were established during its 27th General Assembly in Jordan, which was attended by A.Kumakhov.
