Talks in Rimini

During Association «Megapir» delegation visit to Italy a working meeting with Italy Air Forces Reserve Officers Association of Rimini city Vice-president colonel Melfi Armando was held on the 30th of March 2011.

The talks were held within the framework of developing international cooperation in the line of the International advisory Council, in particular, were very important in establishing friendly ties between Russian and Italian reserve officers organizations.

During the talks sides exchanged experience about Association «Megapir», newly established International advisory Council and Italy Air Forces Reserve Officers Association.

Italian counterpart was informed about all round activity of «Megapir» and work done to establish international mechanism of reserve officers cooperation, results of the Organizing committee meeting on the 18th of March 2011 in Moscow. It was stressed that the International advisory Council of reserve officers organizations is international structure which is not intended for any political objectives, not focused on intervention in internal affairs of the countries, organizations which will become its members. The Council provide cooperation and various countries reserve officers and veterans of military service capabilities use in common interest.

Italian side showed interest to the activity of «Megapir», the Organizing committee on establishing the International advisory council of reserve officers organizations meeting participants.

According to Melfi Armando «Megapir» work experience and establishing the International advisory council of reserve officers deserve attention and may be interesting both for Italian reserve officers organizations and for other countries as well. «Various countries reserve officers cooperation surely will encourage strengthening of friendship, confidence and mutual understanding between people», — he stressed.

Italy Air Forces Reserve Officers Association of Rimini city Vice-president informed in details about activity of his organization, as an element of the National reserve officers organization, which headquarters located in Rome. According to him Italy Air Forces Reserve Officers Association consolidates more than 30 subsidiaries in various provinces and cities of Italy total strength more than 37 thousand men. «Our organization was established in February 1952 in Turin on the initiative of military aviators group with the aim to cooperate in Civvy Street, military aviator profession credibility and patriotism promotion», — noted Melfi Armando. He stressed: «I’ll inform my leadership about results of the talks and herewith pay special attention to activity of „Megapir“ and establishment of the International advisory Council».

On behalf of the «Megapir» Board of directors and the International advisory Council invitation to participate the first meeting of the International advisory Council of reserve officers organizations, which will be held in June 2011 in Moscow, was given to Italian side. Melfi Armando gratefully took the invitation and noted: «I’ll inform leadership of the Italian Association». He told: «The same time we’ll hold Italy Air Forces Reserve Officers Conference in Turin». Nevertheless, according to Melfi Armando: «Italy Air Forces Reserve Officers Association Leadership, most probably, will seize this opportunity and send a representative to the meeting in Moscow». The sides exchanged informational materials about their organizations activity. Melfi Armando gave «Megapir» Italian Association gratuity plaque. During the talks agreement that «Megapir», the International advisory Council of reserve officers organizations, Italy Air Forces Reserve Officers Association will set regular work results informational materials exchange was achieved.
