Congratulations to Mr. L. Attar-Bayrou with International Day of UN Peacekeepers
VISIT TO THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE UNESCO OF THE UNITED NATIONS

General Secretary of the International Advisory Committee of the Organizations of reserve officers (IAC) Anatoly Kumakhov made 03–06.03.2015 a working trip to UNESCO (Paris) in the framework of the preparation of the International humanitarian action «Mission of Peace and Friendship», dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the Victory over fascism.
It will be hold at UNESCO with the support and assistance of the International Association of Peacekeepers «Soldiers of Peace» (UN) and the French National Federation of members of foreign operations. Help the leader of these two organizations Mr. Laurent
Were held meetings and discussions with the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations of Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) E.
During the meetings A. Kumakhov was noted that, plan to hold our event at UNESCO, we believe that the activities of the IAC in many ways consonant with the activities of UNESCO. And that in a year when all of humanity celebrates the most important event of the twentieth century — 70 years of Victory over fascism, it would be symbolic to hold it in UNESCO, which blends harmoniously into the program of events for this occasion.
The interlocutors received with interest by the composition of participants of the action, which including representatives from the countries of NATO and the former Warsaw Pact, as well as from Middle East countries.
Have been approved by the interlocutors at draft Program action, which including presentations by participants, discussions, adoption of «The Charter of Peace» of the International Advisory Committee of Organizations of reserve officers. As well as Solemn ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers at the Eternal Flame at the Arc de Triomphe on Place Charles de Gaulle «Star», and presentation of book about the Liberation of Europe from fascism, and the International Film Festival of Documentary films and television programs «For a World without wars and military conflicts».
Was also presented information about the concept and activities of the International Advisory Committee of the Organizations of reserve officers, and of it major events. Attention of the interlocutors drawn to the fact that the IAC — is a nongovernmental,
It they that the main objectives of the purposes of cooperation IAC members are:
- Support the efforts to counter international terrorism, religious extremism and other forms of radicalism, which threaten modern civilization, world peace and security;
- Consultations on forming public opinion on a friendly and compassionate relation to veterans, to military pensioners on the principles of spirituality and compassion;
- Assistance to formation at youth a principles of fairness, tolerance, mutual respect and friendship, promotion of healthy lifestyle of young people, involved in the physical culture and sports;
- The promotion of cultural, intellectual and business relations, of friendship and trust between nations and peoples by the methods of «people’s diplomacy».
Special attention they stressed to the fact that the work of the IAC members do not engage in political activities, do not interfere in the internal affairs of other organizations and countries.
The interlocutors expressed their willingness their support in holding at UNESCO International humanitarian action «Mission of Peace and Friendship», dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the Victory over fascism, and to take part in it, emphasized the importance in modern conditions of such a massive event with the participation of representatives from different countries of the world.
